Research Stage II- Medical Theory

From the biological and medical perspective, the Chlorophyll has been used in the treatment of some human diseases as well as the healthy care. According to the ‘Health benefits of Chlorophyll’, Health benefits of chlorophyll include strengthening of blood making organs, prevention of anemia and abundance of oxygen in the body. Loaded with antioxidant power, chlorophyll exerts beneficial effects towards various medical conditions such as cancer, insomnia, dental ailments, sinusitis, pancreatitis and kidney stones.

Also, paraphrasing from George Dvorsky (March, 2015), due to the fact that Chlorophyll is often used to night blindness, Science for the Masses, a team of biohackers from California, successfully induced a temporary sense of night vision by injecting a simple of Chlorophyll into a man’s eyes. As a result, these biological and medical practices provides possibility for using the Chlorophyll in the field of energy absorbing for human in the coming future.

“The Renewable Jacket” is the new way for Chinese people’s survival in 2100 due to the food shortage caused by the severe environment. Throughout wearing the Jacket, people absorbing the 50% of essential daily energy from the sun instead of food. “The Renewable Jacket” is a mixture of carbon fabric, the chlorophyII as well as other conductive fabrics, enabling people to go through the process of photosynthesis like the plants and collect the energy from the sun.

This wearable jacket will be a mixture of carbon fabric, a replaceable storage part for Chlorophyll, as well as other conductive materials. Throughout wearing the smart jacket, people will absorb the fifty percent of essential daily energy from the sun for keeping alive.

Research Stage II-Biological Theory

Then I started to explore the possibility from the biological perspective. In terms of the principle of plants’ photosynthesis, which points how the plants get the energy through the photosynthesis and keep alive. According to the ‘Plants’ from BBC science, photosynthesis is the chemical change which happens in the leaves of green plants.

During this reaction, carbon dioxide and water are converted into glucose and oxygen. The reaction requires light energy, which is absorbed by a green substance called chlorophyll. Photosynthesis takes place in leaf cells. These contain chloroplasts, which are tiny objects containing chlorophyll. Thus there is no doubt that the chlorophyll is the essential element for plant to go through the photosynthesis process, but what does it mean for human to obtain the energy?

Is it possible for human to go through the similar photosynthesis process with the Chlorophyll ?
